The Centre: Littleton Mill
Littleton Mill is a beautifully restored 17th Century Mill house. Set in 10 acres of stunning grounds, woodland and surrounded by water, this venue provides a restful location for taking in nature and relaxing your body and mind. The Mill is run with strong sustainability principles in mind: as well as generating (and exporting) its own heat and electricity from a hydroelectric turbine and biomass boiler, we source all food and drink (where possible) from local organic suppliers.
The Local Area
Littleton is located between the villages of Semington and Seend in Wiltshire. Our nearest towns are Trowbridge (10 minutes), Chippenham (15 minutes) Bath (20 minutes), Melksham (5 minutes) and Devizes (10 minutes). There are numerous historic places of interest and areas of natural beauty to visit in the surrounding areas. Bath is designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, and offers some of the finest architectural sights in Europe, such as the Roman Baths and Pump Room, and the Royal Crescent. Nearby sites of archaeological interest include the ancient standing stones at Avebury and Stonehenge. The Mill is situated about 3 minutes away from the Kennet and Avon canal, a great place for walking, cycling or boating. |
